Troll & knight

I have cast the troll and and the vain knight;) The mouldmaking was hard. I made a two part mould because I did not want to harm the sculpts and I had a bit of trouble with the bubbles but nothing I can't clean up.

Thief&warrior

I´m about to finish to more sculpts in 28mm. A warrior and a thief. I´m sculpting weapons to but I´m considering to sculpt some weapons in 3D instead and print them. I think I will be able to make some molds next weekend so that I can cast some miniatures.

V1.1

I´m working on the v1.1 on my game. After some really good feedback I have decided to streamline the game some. Mostly I will simplify the monsters and how they work. I will try to have as much relevant info on the monster cards possible and get as little downtime as possible. I have got rid of the defend/evade roll and added a hit modifier to the monsters that the attacker draws from his attack roll.
I have also had some time to sculpt on my miniatures, this is a female warrior

3D printed troll

Today I got my 3d printed troll that I made in Zbrush a while ago. I used Shapeways to print it and I´m really happy with the result! The print is flawless. I will probably make more trolls with new poses and weapons and my plan is to make a mold of the troll and cast it in metal the same way I did with my wax miniatures. It was hard to get a good picture of the troll because the material but this one is shows the miniature quite well.

Green stuff

The play testing is going on fine and I have got some really good input so far. As I gather the feedback I have started sculpting some 28mm miniatures in green stuff. I have tried it before but never got it to work. Then I got around and bought some color shapers. It´s like a pencil with a silicon tip that works great with green stuff. I just dip it in water and work with it and I love it! The first two are a bit rough but I´m still happy with the result. I soon learned that green stuff does not sand very well and now I work in small areas and try to get it right at once.
My first sculpt. Had a hard time posing him and some details got a bit bulky.

My second sculpt is a knight. I could not decide if I wanted to make a male or female knight so it ended up being kind of in between. I´m still working on some bags and stuff.
Here are some work in progress sculpts. First a female thief and second a warrior

Until the last torch

I have posted on the lead adventure forum seeking playtesters for the game. The number who wanted to try it out was greater then I expected.  I have given the game the work title: The Venture-until the last torch.

There is still much work to be done and there is only one scenario written and some other parts under construction but I wanted to get the playtesting started to see if it all holds together. If you are interested please write me and I will send you a link to the game.

Monsters

I have been playtesting the solo mode and added some new rules and tweaked others. I'm allso working on adding some more monsters. All monsters have there own simple behavior and prefered targets to make a diverse game.
Here are some work in progress. I'm going for the old school look on the drawings and the game as a whole.

You can allso se the cards made so far. Yellow cards are classes, orange abilities, blue weapons and armor, green monsters and red  items. Maby I will add a violet for magical items and weapons.

Playtesting

Long long time no see! It's been a long time since my last post the main reason being that I lent my computer to my workplace. But now I got a urge to write so I figure I can post from my phone. I've been keeping busy painting figures, making terrain and working on a game. It's a simple set of rules for fantasy skirmishes and adventures.

The game is card based and to create your hero you choose a class and buy special abilities and equipment and start adventuring. The reason for making it card based was that I wanted all the rules needed on the board. Making them easy to access so you don't have to look in a rulebook to see what your ability does or how much damage your weapon deals. I have just started to playtest the game.If you are interested in trying it out please write me a message. The pictures are from my latest playtests. The miniatures are from red box games.
